FAQs about YETIĀ® picnic & BBQ accessories

What YETIĀ® accessories do I need for my BBQ?

Whether you’re grilling in your garden, a camping site or by a remote lake, there’s no room for BBQ gear that quits. To build a setup that won’t let you down, look no further than YETI picnic and BBQ accessories:

Seating: Our ergonomic, lightweight TrailheadĀ® Field Chair is over-engineered with GroundGripā„¢ Feet and a quad-fold aluminium fold for premium comfort no matter the terrain. For a plush yet hardy and waterproof foundation for the rest of the crew, the LowlandsĀ® Blanket is best.

Coolers: To lock in long-lasting iciness, you need a legendary cooler for BBQ storage. Go lightweight with a Hopper FlipĀ® 12 Cool Bag, or choose indestructible capacity with the compact RoadieĀ® 24 Cool Box or massive TundraĀ® 105 Cool Box. If you’re hauling heavy, grab one of our smooth-rolling options with NeverFlatā„¢ wheels, like the RoadieĀ® 60 Wheeled Cool Box or Tundra HaulĀ® Wheeled Cool Box.

Food storage: When you’re managing a full BBQ pack of meat and sides, you need a guarantee that everything stays where it’s put. Our YETIĀ® Food Storage containers are tough, stackable and leakproof.

Drinkware & serving: Pour fresh ice-cold drinks straight from a RamblerĀ® 64 oz Pitcher or a rugged RamblerĀ® 64 oz Bottle. If you’re cracking open a couple of cold ones, our RamblerĀ® ColsterĀ® Can Insulator with a No Sweatā„¢ Design keeps your drink crisp and hands dry. For serving up hot dishes, choose our double-wall vacuum, stainless steel Ramblerā„¢ Insulated Bowls.

Cookware: Drop a pre-seasoned YETIĀ® Cast Iron Skillet or non-toxic and rust-resistant YETIĀ® Carbon Steel Pan directly on top of the fire or grates for sears that get better and better with time.

Should I get a YETIĀ® cool bag, cool box, or bucket for a BBQ?

Whether you get a YETIĀ® cool bag, cool box, or ice bucket comes down to your party size and priority:

Cool bag: If you’re having a couple beers by the beach or heading down to the park for a light bite, a lightweight picnic cool bag is your best bet. Our heavy-duty HopperĀ® totes and Hopper FlipĀ® cool bags offer MagShield access or Hydrolokā„¢ zippers and ColdCellā„¢ insulation, all wrapped in a soft but durable, leakproof DryHideā„¢ shell for ultimate portability and comfort.

Cool box: For smoky cookouts at home or out in the wild with the whole gang, maximum durability and capacity is a must. Go for a YETI hard cool box, such as our over-engineered TundraĀ® 75 Cool Box or RoadieĀ® 24 Cool Box, which boast serious PermaFrostā„¢ insulation, military-grade DoubleHaulā„¢ handles, and NeverFailā„¢ hinge systems. With a wide selection of sizes, you can keep a full BBQ pack of meat fresh and ice-cold drinks flowing.

Ice bucket: If the main focus is keeping the chef cool and hydrated, a dedicated BBQ bucket, like the Ramblerā„¢ 7.6L Beverage Bucket, is key. With its double-wall vacuum insulation and non-slip rubber bottom, it’ll keep a six-pack frosty even right next to the coals. Everybody else can take from the YETI TankĀ® 45 Insulated Ice Bucket, the Ramblerā„¢ is for the MVP.

Can you put a YETIĀ® skillet on a barbecue?

Absolutely. The YETIĀ® Cast Iron Skillet was expertly crafted to handle the live fire of an open flame barbecue as well as a home cooker. It retains and balances high temperatures seamlessly to give your steaks, burgers and sides an even, restaurant-quality sear over the grates while keeping them juicy and tender.

How do I clean YETIĀ® BBQ storage boxes?

How you clean your YETI BBQ storage boxes depends on the type of storage box you have. We know nobody wants extra chores after a long day of grilling and socialising, that’s why we’ve made the clean up easy for every storage container.

Food containers: Our YETIĀ® Food Storage containers are 100% dishwasher-safe. Built from BPA-free, ultra-tough 50% recycled plastic, they handle the cleanup cycle as easily as they handle being tossed into a cooler picnic setup.

Cool boxes: For our hard cool boxes, a simple mix of warm water and dish soap does the trick. If there’s a stubborn bit of grime, hit it with a scrubbing brush (or a high-pressure sprayer if you’ve got a RoadieĀ® Cool Box). Just remember to leave the drain plug out to let it air-dry completely before storing it closed.

Cool bags: You can simply hose your HopperĀ® Soft Cooler inside and out to clean it. Every so often, you can wipe it down with mild dish soap and warm water before rinsing with fresh water. For tougher stains, use a gentle scrubbing brush. Dry the inside with a cloth and leave that Hydrolokā„¢ zipper wide open and upside down for a few days to make sure it’s completely dry before you pack it away.

Ice buckets: This depends on the build. If you’re rocking the Ramblerā„¢ 7.6L Beverage Bucket, both the stainless steel bucket and lid are 100% dishwasher-safe. For the larger, armoured YETI TankĀ® 45 Insulated Ice Bucket, give it the same treatment as our hard cool boxes with warm soapy water and a good air dry.
