ROADIE FAQ
WHAT IS A YETI® ROADIE® COOLER?
The Roadie® Hard Cooler family is built with the same legendary durability and thermal performance you expect from Tundra® Coolers but with added mobility features that make transporting everything you need easier. From rugged wheels to durable handles, these coolers are guaranteed to keep your provisions cold and on the move.
Made for riding shotgun, navigating bumpy terrain, and manoeuvring tailgate crowds – these are perfect for adventures on your own or with the entire crew. They’re tall enough to fit wine bottles upright and the one-handed access ensures provisions are always accessible. Each Roadie® Cooler is built with RockSolid™ Strength and armoured to the core to be virtually indestructible while featuring PermaFrost™ Insulation for the ability to hold ice for days.
Select Roadie® Hard Cooler sizes are available in many colours including classic white, navy, charcoal, desert tan, and limited edition colours.
IS THERE A WARRANTY ON ROADIE® COOLERS?
YETI Roadie® Coolers come with a five year warranty. For more information, please visit our Warranty Information page.
HOW LONG WILL ROADIE® COOLERS HOLD ICE?
There are many variables that will affect ice retention, so this is a difficult question for us to answer. Variables that can affect ice retention include the ice quality, ice quantity, type of ice (crushed, block, cube, dry), outside environment, exposure to direct sunlight, etc. Which is to say there’s a lot you can do to affect the longevity of your ice.
Because of the large number of variables, as well as the lack of an industry standard for measuring ice retention, claims that place a definite time (5, 10, 14 days) are often based on testing conditions and not real-life situations. But if you can minimise the negative variables that affect ice retention, YETI® Coolers can’t be beat. And we’ve compiled a comprehensive list of tips and tricks to maximise ice retention.
CAN I USE DRY ICE IN MY ROADIE® COOLER?
Absolutely, see our instructions on how to use dry ice with your Roadie® Cooler.
WILL MY ROADIE® COOLER KEEP MY HOT ITEMS HOT?
You might be surprised to read this, but yes. The same insulation and thick walls that keep the cooler cold also keep the heat.

HOW MANY CANS WILL FIT IN MY ROADIE® COOLER?
Using 12 oz. cans as the measurement, you can see how each of the Roadie® Coolers stack up in terms of carrying capacity. We recommend using a 2:1 ice-to-contents ratio by volume.
Roadie® 24 Hard Cooler – 33 cans only
Roadie® 48 Wheeled Cooler – 76 cans only
Roadie® 60 Wheeled Cooler – 98 cans only
ARE ROADIE® COOLERS LEAKPROOF?
No, like all YETI® Hard Coolers, these need to release pressure in order to be dry-ice compatible so they are not 100% leakproof. If they ever end up on their side or upside down, liquid will likely spill out. That said, we’ve taken extreme engineering measures to minimise leaks
But if leakproof performance is critical to you, we recommend checking out our Hopper® Soft Cooler Family.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY ROADIE® COOLER?
For general cleaning we recommend using soap and warm water.
For a more thorough cleansing and problems with strong odours, use a solution of warm water and bleach (6:1 ratio) with a sponge or mildly abrasive rag. Odors can easily get trapped in hard to reach areas such as around the gasket and drain plug, so be sure to thoroughly scrub those areas.
For tough stains and very foul odours we would recommend cleaning your YETI Roadie® Cooler with a high pressure soap spray found at a local do-it yourself car wash.

HOW MANY YETI ICE® PACKS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR MY ROADIE® COOLER?
For the Roadie® 24 Hard Cooler, one 1.8 kg YETI ICE® will fit perfectly in the bottom.
For the Roadie® 48 Wheeled Cooler, we recommend using three 0.5 kg YETI ICE® Packs. Note, if using the divider, only two will fit.
For the Roadie® 60 Wheeled Cooler, two 1.8 kg YETI ICE® Packs will do the trick– with or without the divider installed.
